Clíona Saidléar, PhD
Executive Director
Dr. Clíona Saidléar has been Executive Director of Rape Crisis Ireland (RCI) since 2015. Alongside strategic direction and governance, her role includes national policy and change initiatives across a range of Government departments and inter-agency fora to improve the responses to survivors and to work towards the prevention of sexual violence. Clíona was previously RCI’s policy and communications director. Clíona has published and presented widely across national media outlets and to the UN and EU, as well as providing lectures and training and currently serves on the National Statistics Board and the Health Research Board. She completed her doctoral thesis with the Department of International Politics in Aberystwyth. Clíona is the spokesperson for RCI.

Donna von Allemann
Legal Director
Donna is RCI’s Legal Director. She provides direct legal support to survivors, to rape crisis centres, and to others responding to sexual violence. She also engages in research and collaboration to improve the law, access to justice, and developing training and guidance towards improving the experience of every survivor who seeks support and justice. Donna is an experienced Solicitor and Barrister with a background in family law and brings to the RCI experience in the sexual violence sphere, both in a professional capacity and as a volunteer.

Lorraine Quigley
Network Administrator and Financial Officer
Lorraine had significant senior experience in office and facilities management in the private sector before moving into the charity sector where she has worked with counselling organisations. She has been with the RCI since 2018.

Sally Aquilina
Database & Privacy Manager
Sally came to RCI in 2024 with extensive experience in the business and charity sectors alongside her activism on social justice issues. She is a business analysis, project manager and operations manager with a passion for working with people to make data serve and drive better responses and deepen our understanding of sexual violence.

Fiona Murdoch
Communications Manager
Fiona came to RCI in 2024 with a strong track record in PR and communications in the not-for-profit sector. Since the early days of her career in journalism, she has had a penchant for sharing human interest stories that demonstrate courage, resilience, transformation and hope. She is passionate about using her communications background and experience to advance issues of equity and justice, and in giving a platform to people whose voices may not otherwise be heard.
